BWIJ VISION STATEMENT

Black Women in Japan (BWIJ) is an online community of over 2000 women of the African Diaspora: Europe, the U.K., the Americas, the Caribbean and Africa, living in Japan. The BWIJ group:

​

  • provides activities to enhance the lifestyle of our members

  • provides resources on life in Japan

  • provides networking opportunities

  • promotes professional and personal development

  • promotes cross-cultural understanding with local Japanese communites

CONVENTION PURPOSE

The 2018 Black Women in Japan Convention provides the stage for BWIJ members to meet and connect on a personal level. Our theme is Empowering the Mind, Body & Soul, an event to foster career enhancement and personal development related to life in Japan. BWIJ aims to create a space for fellowship, networking, and business support while celebrating the diverse sisterhood of the African diaspora and Japanese culture.
